  • Did You Make This Recipe?
  • Air Fryer Pork Chops Recipe Ingredients

Youll need just a few ingredients for this easy recipe. Most of them are seasonings that you probably have in your kitchen.

    • Pork Chops: Both boneless pork chops and bone-in pork chops work great in this recipe. Use pork chops that are at least 1-inch thick, because thin pork chops can easily dry out and become tough.
    • Olive Oil: Rubbing the pork chops with olive oil helps the seasonings to stick to the meat. It also keeps the outsides of the chops moist.
    • Brown Sugar: I add brown sugar to the seasoning mix because it helps to caramelize the seasoning as it cooks. The brown sugar also brings a delicious subtle sweetness to the rub. If you prefer a sugar-free recipe you can omit the brown sugar.
    • Seasonings: To season these air fryer pork chops, I used a variation of my favorite pork rub. Paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, dried thyme, salt and pepper add delicious flavor. You can use sweet or smoked paprika. Smoked paprika will lend a smoky, slightly spicy flavor, while sweet paprika is more mild.

Can You Make This Recipe In The Instant Pot

I love my Instant Pot as much as my Air Fryer, and it works so wonderfully for this type of recipe! Use thicker cuts that will hold up well to the internal pressure of the Instant Pot. In addition, keep in mind, that the end result wont be as crispy!

You can even use the Instant Pot to cook both your veggies and meat at the same time. But dont take my word for it. Try these pork recipes out for yourself!

Air Fryer Pork Chops Two Ways Marinated And Breaded Recipe

Pork chops may be one of the most difficult proteins to cook properly. It is quite easy to overcook and dry them out, especially lean chops. One way to remedy this is to braise the chops in a good amount of liquid on the stove. This is time consuming and can still overcook the chops and rob them of their natural pork flavor.

While I am still experimenting with several pork recipes in my air fryer, I am finding that this method of cooking pork chops is super easy and gives me some really good results without the excess fat and liquid that other cooking methods rely on. I am definitely a fan of cooking pork chops in an air fryer. The only problem I have is that as soon as I put the chops on the cutting board I want to dig in. I must resist so that all the juices dont run out. Resting the meat is a very important step.

When you are cooking pork chops in an air fryer, have a digital meat thermometer ready to check the internal temperature of the meat. You are looking for approximately 150°F. When looking at air fryer pork chop recipes I have found that the cook times and temperature settings vary quite a bit. The recipes here are for an air fryer with a crisper plate. The crisper plate gets pretty hot, so my timing might be a little less than the timing of the air fryers that only have a basket. This is why you need a thermometer. Tweak the recipes as needed.

What Are The Best Pork Chops For The Air Fryer

    Air Fryer Bone

Ive found that the very best pork chops for the air fryer are thick, center cut, bone-in chops. I try to get them as thick as possible somewhere between 1 ½ inches to 2 inches thick. The reason I like the thick chops the best is that with the cooking time required, its gives the pork chops a beautiful char on all sides. Thin pork chops will cook too quickly and never get that nice char on them. Thick pork chops require a cooking time of about 12 minutes. And with our rub from this recipe, we get that beautiful char on them thats delicious!
