Flaws But Not Dealbreakers
Due to the Cuisinart TOB-260N1s large interior, this model took about five minutes longer to cook frozen french fries than some of the smaller air fryers we tested took. That said, its slightly slower cooking time often produced more evenly cooked food that was better tasting. We think thats a trade-off well worth the few extra minutes of your time. And the Cuisinart is still small enough that it can preheat and cook faster than a standard oven.
Since Cuisinart doesnt market the TOB-260N1 as an air fryer, it doesnt come with a cooking chart for commonly air-fried foods. However, we found that in most cases, the same temperatures youd use to cook in a standard oven can also be used in the Cuisinart, whereas smaller, pod-shaped air fryers require you to cook at lower temperatures. We also found that when youre air frying vegetables with lots of moisture, such as eggplant and zucchini, its best to chop them into 1-inch or smaller pieces to prevent them from getting mushy. The Cuisinarts baking pan may warp slightly when the oven is roasting at high temperatures, but this in no way affects its cooking performance the pan will return to its normal shape when it cools. If you want a better pan, we recommend that you get a Nordic Ware quarter-sheet pan, a smaller version of our favorite baking sheet, which fits perfectly inside the Cuisinart oven.

While I do have a few complaints , and I prefer a nice digital display, in testing the TOA-60 I found it to be a great performer, very easy to use, and I got excellent results.

The Cuisinart TOA-60 is a popular toaster oven that cooks healthy and FANTASTIC-tasting air fried, baked, toasted, and broiled food. Despite cooking food twice as fast and with 1/2 the power of traditional ovens, the results of my tests were nothing short of wonderful.

Should You Buy The Cuisinart Air Fryer Toaster Oven
With such hit and miss results, my feelings are mixed. The size means its ideal for 1-2 person households, and if you often heat up a whole oven just for small portions, using this instead will definitely save time as well as energy and therefore money too.
Performance wise, the air fryer function doesnt stack up against standalone air fryers. However, I was impressed with the bake and convection bake functions which are very speedy compared to my standard oven and do, I think, compensate for the air fryer performance. The toasting was fine, but youll need to turn toast for best results.
Depending on what you intend to use it for, its a great little countertop oven and broiler. But if you primarily want an air fryer, or you need a big capacity toaster oven, Id say look at other options.
How To Clean The Cuisinart Toa
Cleaning this air fryer isnt that tedious. In fact, its a lot easier than a full-sized oven since the trays or pans youll use will be significantly smaller.
Heres how it goes:
Ensure that the air fryer is unplugged from the power outlet and cool completely.
All you need to do is wipe the exterior with a clean, moist cloth and dry thoroughly. Next is cleaning the interior walls, using a damp cloth and a mild liquid soap to wipe off grease and food residue.
Last are the Air Fryer Basket and Baking/Drip pans. These arent dishwasher safe. So, they should be hand washed in hot, soapy water with a nylon scouring pad or brush, then rinsed thoroughly.
Now youre ready for your next air frying session.

Pepperoni Pizza Cooking Results
I had to be sure to watch the pizza to keep it from burning! This little oven is quite powerful for its size and the pizza was hot and ready in less than 5 minutes. To check how well it was cooked, I measured the internal temperature to make sure it reached 165° as recommended on the package.
Before I knew it the pizza was ready! Honestly, Im not accustomed to cooking a frozen pizza. Im impressed.

I measured the time it took to cook a perfect frozen pizza, with excellent inside temperature and a crispy crust. In less than 5 minutes I got great results.
I wont lie to you I bought inexpensive test pizzas and expected results. However, honestly the taste was better than I expected.
The pizza crust was crunchy and evenly toasted. The cheese and pepperoni were well-cooked and tasted great. If youre a pizza lover and want that delicious, crunchy restaurant-style taste, its an excellent choice.
Its like a home version of buying a pizza at a dine-in restaurant. Making your own fresh, crisp pizza is also a wonderful feeling. The Cuisinart made it easy and fun for me to do.

Cuisinart Air Fryer Toaster Oven Cooking Features:
Air Frying:
Fact: Air frying is really just a fancy way of saying Convection. I do not have a convection setting on my regular oven and I didnt have one on my toaster oven, thus, why I made the upgrade. If you have a convection setting on one of your existing ovens, you probably dont need an air fryer!
Toasting:
This also has a toasting function, but to be honest I just use the air fryer setting for toast now because its so quick!
Baking, Broiling:
The baking and broiling function I used to use a lot on my old toaster for baking chicken breasts, for example, broiling for melting cheese, making crostini, etc, but to be honest, I pretty much just use the air fryer function now in lieu of those two settings, again, because its so much faster than traditional baking/broiling methods. However, this model does have those if you want to use them!
Reheating:
I use the air fryer to reheat anything that was once crispyits absolutely AMAZING for warming up takeout. Youll never cry over soggy fries or wings again! However, I would not use it for reheating anything else that was not once crispy, such as soup, pasta, etc.
Warming:
I LOVE the warming feature even when Im not air frying. This comes in really handy if youre cooking things in batches on the stove, or if, say, I make two grilled cheeses and Neal is finishing up something and isnt ready to eat his yet.
