As soon as you take it out of the box, you get a sense that the Foodi Digital Air Fry Oven is a high-quality product. Constructed of brushed stainless steel, its beautifully finished with rounded corners and has a digital control pad. Its also wider and shorter than a typical toaster oven.
When cooled and not in use, the Foodi oven can be flipped up on one side to stand up at the back of the counter, an odd but convenient storage solution. Rather than a towel bar handle in the front, it has a small one off to the side that you use to open the door. While its unusual and takes a bit of time to get used to, this handle functions perfectly fine and helps make the oven more space efficient.
The Foodi Digital Air Fry Oven comes with an air fry basket, a cooking rack, a nonstick sheet pan, and a crumb tray that also seem sturdy and well made. Theyre larger than the ones you typically find in a toaster oven, as the oven is so wide.

As far as an air fryer goes, it sucks. It doesnt cook food evenly because the fan is in the back and not on top of the machine, stupid design
I have the 10in 1 xl from Ninja and its basically an over. The difference between this one and mine is that this is shorter and wider. I dont think its the greatest air fryer and and I am still not sure how to clean the heat lamp bulb things .
However, I needed and over/toaster and it works great for oven needs.
This isnt what you asked, but I will whole-heartedly recommend the $49.99 Gourmia brand air fryer they sell in the warehouse, in case youre interested in that one, too.
Its got good reviews on both Amazon and the few on Costco.
Personally, I like its size and the fact that you can fold it up and tuck it back off the counter.
However, Im also considering the Cuisinart one, it has great ratings.

I have eyeing one of these as well. I have seen them dip to 139 at Sams club.
We have this and love it. I have the original one without the dehydrate and we use it all the time for our daughter. Love that it folds up to save counter space and preheats in 60 seconds

Air fryers fall mainly into two camps: small, pod-shaped models and larger models that look like a typical high-end convection toaster oven. There are also a few outliers with extra-gimmicky features, such as the Oster DuraCeramic Air Fryer , or the Ninja Foodi .
Pod-shaped air fryers have a single fan and heating element positioned on top of the oven cavity. Toaster-oven air fryers usually have heating elements on the top and the bottom, and a fan on the top or the side of the ovens interior. How well the heating elements and fan work varies from model to model in both categories. Some air fryers ran so hot and had such powerful fans that they cooked unevenly and concentrated heat on top of the food, behaving more like convection broilers than convection ovens. Other models we tested ran so cool that it was hard to tell whether they were even on. But after testing six pod-shaped air fryers in 2017 and nine toaster-oven-style models in 2019, weve concluded that the pods generally arent worth getting.

The air fryer function of my Ninja Foodi gets used a lot. I’ve found that the Ninja Foodi is particularly good at cooking crispy bacon in less time and with less mess than cooking it on the stove or in the oven.
Ninja Foodi Bacon is my new go-to method for the crispiest, tastiest bacon. I make bacon in the air fryer and turkey bacon in the air fryer often. I even have a recipe for Vegan Air Fryer Bacon on our sister site, so you know that air fryer bacon is important to me.
Honestly, I think the best part about cooking bacon in the Ninja Foodi or in any basket style air fryer is that the clean up is so much easier. Cooking bacon on the stove makes such a mess!
Even though I do have other posts about air fryer bacon, I’m sharing this recipe specifically for Ninja Foodi bacon because the air fryer time and temperature is different in the Ninja Foodi. You can use whichever air fryer bacon post fits your machine.

At this price point, its hard to find a smart oven with as many settings. If youre looking for something that can accommodate larger food items, like a whole chicken, you might want to consider a countertop convection oven. A toaster oven is designed to replace the best toaster as well as microwaves and air fryers, but if it cant toast, that wont save you on the space a toaster will take up in your kitchen.
The Ninja Foodi 8-in-1 Flip Mini Oven comes with a toast and bagel mode. You can choose the level of browning and the amount of slices inside your oven when cooking on the toasting mode. The bagel mode will heat from only one direction as opposed to above and below, which will leave the edges of the bagel soft and perfect for making a warm sandwich.
I was impressed by both the bagel toasting and the regular toasting in the Ninja Foodi 8-in-1 Flip Mini Oven. Everything came out even, with some slight marks from the wire rack on one side of the toast. I didnt find that the top toasted more than the bottom when using the regular toasting mode, so its perfect for sandwiches, paninis, and warming pastries.
