In our review, we found it was too large to easily store, very noisy, and produced decent cooking results, but nothing that blew us away.

Where the Foodi is primarily marketed as an indoor grill, the Power AirFryer 360 is obviously marketed as an air fryer. They differ in their cooking functionality, so which appliance you choose depends on the type of cooking you plan to do. If you want to grill along with air fry, its a no-brainer to choose the Foodi. If you have more of a need to toast and reheat, wed go with Emerils cooker.

Design: Attractive But Big And Boxy

With an all-black and stainless steel exterior, the Foodi grill should fit right in most kitchens. Its size, on the other hand, may be tough for some kitchens to accommodate. Its big and boxy, measuring about 17 inches long by 14 inches wide and 11 inches high. At first glance, we werent sure there was enough space to clear our cabinets with the lid open it did, but barely. Weighing in just under 15 pounds, its hefty enough that we wouldnt want to lift it out of a cabinet, so wed recommend keeping it where you plan to use it if space allows.

The cooking accessoriescooking pot, grill grate, and crisper basketare ceramic nonstick-coated and free from potentially harmful PTFE/PFOA chemicals. The cookware pieces feel quality-made, durable, and heavy-dutyespecially the grill grate.

The heat is extremely powerful and cooks food very quickly, so you cant really set it and forget it.

Tips On Using The Ninja Foodi Grill

Even though Ninja provides a cooking chart, I learned very quickly the times are off. I burned my food the first few times I cooked with the Foodi, soI recommend checking your food as it cooks until you get the hang of how long it takes to cook your favorite foods.I also recommend using a meat thermometer to make sure your meat has been cooked to a safe temperature.

One caveat to the Foodi is that once the time runs out, the unit completely turns off. So, if your food isn’t cooked, you’ll have to start from the beginning, meaning it has to preheat again. This is kind of a pain when you’re trying to get dinner on the table, soI recommend adding extra cooking time and checking your food to make sure it doesn’t burn. If you’re cooking two different foods on the same setting , add enough time to the timer to cook both foods. Since the Foodi pauses the timer every time you open the lid, you can switch from one food to the next and simply close the lid to start cooking again.

Use oils with a high heat index, like canola or avocado oil, to prevent smoking while cooking.I always toss or spray my foods directly with the oil rather than adding the oil in the air fryer to prevent smoking and burning.

Although it cooks with the lid closed, the lid doesnt press down on food, so it only brands grill marks on one side at a timeif you want a panini, youll have to turn it over halfway through cooking. The grate leaves curved grill marks rather than straight lines on food.

In addition to grilling, the Ninja Food Grill can air fry, roast, bake, and dehydrate, which overlaps with many of the functions of the Ninja Foodi Pressure Cooker and Ninja Foodi Oven.

At $230, the Ninja Foodi Indoor Grill is a bit of an investment. However, we think the excellent indoor grilling performance is worth the cost for anyone who loves grilled food and wants to be able to grill year-round. Is The Ninja Foodi Grill Easy To Use And Clean

The Foodi is well-designed, and all removable parts are dishwasher safe.

The digital control panel on the grill is well designed and easy to read.

We love the fact that the grill preheats automatically, but depending on the setting, the preheat time can be over eight minutes.

In the top of the lid, theres a splatter shield that needs to be popped out after each use and cleaned. Luckily, all of the removable parts can go in the dishwasher. The interior and exterior of the machine dont get particularly dirty and are easy to wipe clean.

The Ninja Foodi grill comes with a very thorough and easy-to-understand owners guide, as well as a booklet that contains recipes and cooking charts for grilling, air frying, and dehydrating. The only things its missing are guidelines for baking and roasting.

The Ninja Foodi Health Grill & Air Fryer AG301UK is a sleek cooking machine. Measuring just 235 x 356 x 450mm, it wont take up much room on your counter but is also small enough to find space for in or on top of a cupboard if you prefer to store it out the way.

Youll need to find room to fit the accessories, as this model ships with a lot. As per the standard model, theres a large cooking pot, which has to be installed before you can cook anything.

Into this go the other accessories, each one build to provide a different type of cooking. If you want to use the air fryer mode, youll need to install the ceramic crisper basket, which simply drops into place. It provides a large surface, so you can mostly lay food flat.

For grilling, theres a grill plate, which has angled fins that your food sits on. The handles are useful, as you can lift the plate and food out in one go, provided youre wearing oven gloves, of course.

You can cook fresh or frozen ingredients, with no need to defrost the latter first, and as the food needs little or no added oil its a healthier option than frying.

We found it a much more pleasant experience cooking with the Ninja than using a traditional grill, BBQ or frying pan. For a start, the lack of smoke means no accidental smoke alarms being set off every time youre cooking some chips, and no need to open the windows on a cold evening to air the room.
