For my second test, I tried a steak using the broil mode. The commercial features the unit cooking steak, but no recipe guide was included with my purchase, so I tried to imitate what I saw in the commercial by placing the rack in the top slot. I turned the unit up to 400 degrees and cooked the steak for 5 minutes, then flipped it and cooked for an additional 5 minutes. My first attempt took some trial and error, and after about 20 minutes of cooking, the steak was finally done.

Now that I had found the correct cooking time, I cooked another steak at 10 minutes per side and I was more satisfied with the results. I then cleaned the drip tray in order to run more tests.
