What Size Air Fryer Should You Get
While there are several features to consider, the size of your air fryer is likely the most important decision you’ll make. If you’re typically cooking for one or two people, a 2- or 3-quart air fryer should be large enough. Consider adding another quart of capacity to your air fryer for every person that you’re regularly cooking for. A family of five, for instance, should be fine with a 5-quart model. If you plan on regularly cooking full meals for a family including meat and veggies or sides, you might consider a larger, dual-basket air fryer like the Ninja we’ve recommended above.
All that said, the smaller the air fryer you can get away with the better. I’ve found that smaller air fryers such as the Magic Bullet 2-5-quart model and Instant Pot’s Duo Crisp net better results since food is going to get blasted faster and more often than inside a larger model. But smaller air fryers mean less overall capacity, so you may have to cook in batches.

Af101 Ninja 4 Qt Air Fryer Review:
The Ninja 4 qt air fryer comes with a solid plastic body from top to bottom, even the cooking basket is made of hard plastic. And it is a bit taller than other air fryers such as the Cosori CP137 air fryer, so it will take up more space than your old air fryer or micro oven.
However, it takes less space as the air fryer is only 8.5 inches.
This Af101 air fryer has a small display on it to show the temperature and timer settings, and the 4 function buttons have an LED indicator below them to show the operation mode.
As youve seen in the image, the control setup is simple in the Ninja AF101 air fryer. However, it would have been better if there are presets on this air fryer as the Instant Pot Vortex Plus or COSORI CP137 air fryers.
Both the air fryers come with different presets for different types of foods such as chicken, vegetables, seafood, bread & many more making the setup less time taking.
Not only the presets, but they also come with more functions like bake, preheat, and broil, but the Ninja AF101 is limited to 4 functions . However, if you have good experience with micro ovens, then this wouldnt be an issue in setting the air fryer to the right temperature.

Ill usually preheat my air fryer to about 375 degrees first. Preheating is so important. Air fryers work a lot like convection ovens in that they circulate hot air around your food, ensuring even heat distribution. I put maybe a tablespoon of canola oil in the basket before cooking. The basket inside this Farberware unit keeps your veggies from taking an oil bath.
Last winter, I would gaze longingly at the grill on my deck, remembering cookouts with fondness. At least we had cookouts! The Ninja Air Fryer AF101 has a circular shape and comes with a dishwasher-safe frying basket and crisper plate. It happens to be one of the more compact air fryers weve reviewed, measuring 36 x 25 x 23cm / 13.6 x 11 x 13.3 inches , but at 3.8 litres / 4 quarts it does have a lesser capacity than most air fryers on the market. In addition to air frying, it can also roast, reheat and even dehydrate, making it as versatile as many of the best air fryers you can find out there.
On looks, the AF100UK sports a sleek grey exterior, which you can wipe clean with a damp cloth, and a 4cm / 1.26-inch LED display that shows the temperature selected and the remaining cooking time. As weve already mentioned, it comes with four presets that activate different cooking functions, each has a default temperature and cooking time. Also, both the temperature and time can be manually adjusted using buttons on either side of the display.
