To be honest, this unboxing experience was pretty bog standard. Gourmia isnt taking the route of some more trendy brands, who think up some premium Apple-esque unboxing experience with cute messages and the like. Gourmia has gone for the straight up meat and two veg approach of putting their air fryer in a simple box with the usual suspects of a recipe book, manual and warranty cards.

In fact, the only special thing is the impressive color manual, something I havent seen often in the air fryer world. As well as being in color, the manual is one of the best designed and laid out I have seen.

If you want to be positive about this approach, you could say that they are saving money on the unboxing experience in order to invest more in the quality of the final product. I am going to, however, opt for the latter opinion that they are just lazy and/or stuck in their ways

The only food type which it struggled with was freshly cut French fries these just werent up to scratch compared to others we had on test. Although, this might be because the recommended cooking time was only 15 minutes, which is much shorter than what other models suggested.

When you program the Gourmia Digital Air Fryer by selecting one of the pre-programmed settings or selecting your own temperature and time, it automatically goes into a preheat mode and then prompts you when to add your food. Most air fryers immediately begin counting down the cooking time after preheating, but the Gourmia gives you 5 minutes to add your food before it begins cooking useful if youre not as organized as you hoped! This is also helpful as you sometimes need a minute or two to open the basket and arrange your items.
