While I do have a few complaints , and I prefer a nice digital display, in testing the TOA-60 I found it to be a great performer, very easy to use, and I got excellent results.
The meals I prepared were just as good as take-out food and were much less expensive, too! I loved it so much Ive awarded it my Editors Choice award for being a solid value.

The Cuisinart TOA-60 is a popular toaster oven that cooks healthy and FANTASTIC-tasting air fried, baked, toasted, and broiled food. Despite cooking food twice as fast and with 1/2 the power of traditional ovens, the results of my tests were nothing short of wonderful.

The outward appearance of the Cuisinart TOA-60 is sleek and pleasing to the eye. While there is nothing groundbreaking about how it looks, the stainless steel finish is very attractive and is also available in Navy and Cream, both of which look excellent too.
With an 18-quart internal capacity, this toaster oven is relatively spacious, but we feel it could have been better utilized if it were a little taller and had an extra shelf space.
The dials have a quality feel to them they turn smoothly but offer some resistance so you can accurately set the time, temperature, and choose functions.
Theres a large viewing window on the front drop-down door and an interior light for monitoring the food as it cooks, though it can be difficult to see when the rack or tray is placed in the top position.
Despite being partly manufactured in China, the build quality is decent, and there are very few consumer complaints about unit failure.

Its a far less versatile appliance than the Cuisinart convection toaster oven, but its smaller footprint may make it ideal for tiny kitchens with limited counter space. Smaller households that plan to make only one or two portions of food at a time may also prefer this model. Compared with other pod-shaped air fryers we tested, the Philips cooked food the most evenly, aside from the occasional soggy french fry on average, it cooked faster than most other models we tried and with better results. The TOA-60 is one of the easier air fryers and toasters to clean. The best method for cleaning your Cuisinart air fryer is to use non-abrasive cleaners and mild dish detergents. However, the removable tray and basket are both didnt dishwasher safe so they should be hand washed in hot, soapy water with a nylon scouring pad or brush, then rinse thoroughly.

Again, the Cuisinart Air Fryer Toaster Oven and the Instant Vortex Plus are similar in size and shape, however, they have very different aesthetic qualities. The Cuisinart Air Fryer is very clearly a Cuisinart product. With clean lines, solid metal finish, oversized knobs, and classic Cuisinart embossed logo, this machine is very on brand for the Cuisinart aesthetic. The Instant Vortex is flashier, with rounded edges, a multi-colored digital display, and a multi-tone finish. It feels much like other Instant appliances such as the Instant Pot. This is not to say one is preferable over the other. It just depends on your needs.
Feature-wise, these two machines operate almost identically. The Instant Vortex does have 2 additional functions, in comparison to the Cuisinart product, that some consumers would find very appealing. The Instant Vortexs dehydrate function is a very attractive feature that many cooks would love to have in a multi-purpose appliance. Though Im sure you could use the Cuisinart Air Fryer as a dehydrator when set to a lower temperature, the 60-minute timer wont allow for long term operation, unless you want to reset the timer every hour. The Instant Vortex also has a rotisserie function and comes equipped with a rotisserie basket and spit. From my research, it seems that many reviewers lament the difficulty in setting up the rotisserie, but many agreed it was a nice option once they figured out the setup.

I went with this model because I didnt think it was worth paying $80 more dollars just for a digital display. Also, a lot of the reviews said that the digital settings were a lot more cumbersome and confusing, and because Im 90 years old I read the consumer reports comparison, and the TOA 60 model won out over the 65, so, therefore, thats the one I went with. I like how easy it is to just turn the knobs and not have to mess with digital settings. It also makes a really cute little nostalgic ding when the timer is up which I think is charming.
Agatha is also fantastic at reheating pastries and donuts so they taste fresh out of the oven!

With such hit and miss results, my feelings are mixed. The size means its ideal for 1-2 person households, and if you often heat up a whole oven just for small portions, using this instead will definitely save time as well as energy and therefore money too.
Performance wise, the air fryer function doesnt stack up against standalone air fryers. However, I was impressed with the bake and convection bake functions which are very speedy compared to my standard oven and do, I think, compensate for the air fryer performance.
